If It Can Happen to Him,

It Can Happen to You

Imagine: You're outside watering your lawn on a summer day, and US Marshals pull up to your house. They ask your name and say you're under arrest and handcuff you. You scramble, panicked, thinking "What did I do? What is going on?"

"What for?" you ask the officers.

"For the assault of John Smith". They name a person you know, an ex, an enemy, someone you're not on good terms with. You have done nothing, but he says you did. They take you to jail, you make bail, and you spend thousands on an attorney to clear your name. With no evidence, just based on something somebody said, you're arrested and have to now prove you are innocent.

Worse, imagine nobody in charge wants you to clear your name. If you clear your name, that will mean they were wrong. They can't have that. So, the police, detective, and DA make sure they cover up their negligence, using shady tricks to block evidence of your innocence. They are all on the same team -- and you are their opponent. That's okay, you think, I couldn't possibly be convicted for something I didn't do.  The jury will see that there's no evidence, no witnesses, and no investigation. The state didn't prove their burden beyond a reasonable doubt, not even close.  But they don't see. Instead, they find you guilty.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

FIGHT TO EXPOSE THE TRUTH.
